All right, we are probably a bit late with this. But let’s face it, we take our dads for granted all the time! And as sad as it may sound, dads really don’t seem to care much about it. I’d go as far as saying that most dads don’t even know that there is a specific day in the year when we are all expected to act nice around them and be sweet to them! Thankfully, unlike most of us ungrateful morons, some brands realize how important fathers are. That explains why they release a gamut of creative and heartwarming Father’s Day ads year after year.
So, without wasting any further moment (it’s already been over 3 days!) and pissing our dads any more, let’s dive straight into some of the most heartwarming Father’s Day 2024 ads that stole the show,
1. Dove: Care Makes a Dad
What does it take to be a father? Siring children? Well, it takes way more than that, and guess what, you don’t even have to be biologically connected to be a father to someone!
Dove released a brilliant 150-second spot this Father’s Day, which followed the classic pattern of bringing in multiple men and their children and encouraging them to share their thoughts about each other. The ad explores what it means to be a father by celebrating men and the transformative power of their care- and the impact that it has on their children and their lives. This was Dove’s way of celebrating all the world’s role models, father figures, and dads.
After all, you don’t have to be a father to be a dad!
2. HDFC Life: Life Ke Champion
Whether or not you are a cricket enthusiast, this HDFC advert will surely resonate with you.
This 2-minute advert shows a kid admiring his father for everything he does for him and his family. From shielding him from his mother’s scoldings to making every occasion special through his presence, his father does everything that it takes to give him a life worth cherishing.
Now, you don’t have to have any cricketing instincts to relate to this ad; having a loving father back home will make it pretty relatable!
3. Absolute Water: Love is Absolute
Filipino bottled water brand Absolute Water released a short, sweet, and simple Father’s Day ad this year, which pretty much sums up our sentiments for our dads.
The ad serves as a token of gratitude for fathers, who never fail to go the extra mile for their children and family. That often means that they aren’t around their kids much. But let’s make no mistake- their efforts, their sacrifices, and their love are seen by all of us.
Dear dads, we see you!
4. The Lincoln Project: Good Hearts, Real Strength
Leading U.S. pro-democracy organization The Lincoln Project dished out a lovely 65-second spot this Father’s Day, thanking them not only for being amazing das but also for being fantastic people.
The ad gives a shoutout to every father out there who teaches their kids to be good humans, upright citizens, and the best friends and partners one could wish for. The ad showcases fathers as our first role models and rightly so! After all, throughout our lives, we learn so much from them. From standing up for the weak to voicing out our opinions without fear, it’s all much easier to do if we have a father whom we could emulate in doing so!
Just like mothers, good fathers can turn around the fortune of a community and an entire country!
5. Tanishq: Fathers, Written by Daughters
And here’s my favorite pick from this year! This brilliant 150-second spot by the jewelry brand Tanishq shows that it’s not always the parents who raise their children, sometimes children raise their parents too!
The ad follows the journey of a father-daughter duo and shows how their relationship evolves over the years with both of them learning from each other. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so watch the ad to know what I am talking about!

And that was a wrap of some of the best Father’s Day 2024 ads. Honestly, I feel a bit sad about how most brands tend to treat this day. It’s almost as if barring a few brands, the others don’t care about Father’s Day at all. But the thing is most fathers don’t care about it either- they’re too busy caring for their families to celebrate one day in a year dedicated to them. And that’s what makes fathers so special!
