5 Hilarious Malaysian Eid 2024 Commercials That Will Serve As The Perfect Laughter-Filled Send-Off

I know, I know! We have been covering way too many Eid 2024 commercials lately. But at ClickInsights, we simply can’t let go of any chance of bringing you the best advertising campaigns. Plus, it’s a wrap-up of our coverage of Eid adverts from this year. And what better way to do that than to end it on a funny note by including Malaysian adverts, known for their humorous content, in our #FunnyFridays segment?

So, here we are with 5 hilarious Malaysian Eid 2024 commercials that will serve as the perfect wrap-up of our coverage of Eid adverts from this year.

1. ZUS Coffee: BerZUSah-ZUSah Dahulu, Beraya-Raya Kemudian

They say some friendships are forged during the most unusual times and at the most unexpected places. This funny advert by the Malaysian coffee chain ZUS Coffee is a testament to this theory.

This 4-minute ad revolves around a young guy who couldn’t go home on Eid as he needed to earn money. To pass his time, he engages in funny small talk with the customers visiting his shop. From telling shortcuts to people without even knowing where they’re headed to having a stranger drop off his package in his hometown, the poor fellow does everything to form friendships with people without any luck.

But then one day, his fortune shines when a delivery guy walks in. Watch the ad to know what happens next!

2. Haier Malaysia: Share Lah Sikit

Sharing is caring! But it can get annoying too if only you have to share your stuff.

This ad by Haier shows a young boy named Aiman being pushed to his limits by the unexpected arrival of his old friend Shah, who keeps asking him to share his things with him. As Shah’s ‘annoying behavior’ throws Aiman’s routine into a whirlwind, their journey becomes a comedic exploration of self-discovery. Aiman learns from his parents that Shah’s grandmother used to take care of him during childhood.

Through humor and heartwarming moments, the film delves into the complexities of friendship. You see, kindness costs nothing- just a bit of annoyance at times😛

3. Alloy Kitchen: Ahli Mesyuarat Kabinet

There is nothing funnier than banter between siblings. And when that banter happens during Eid, it gets even funnier.

This 150-second spot showcases two siblings engaging in a war or words with their mother acting as the judge. The ad begins with both siblings trying to portray themselves as better than the other. While the sister complains about having to share her room with Pak Cu every Eid and asks why her brother can’t share his room, the brother complains about why his sister gets to decide the Eid outfit theme, which always switches between pink and purple.

Fed up with their fight, the mother simply refuses to entertain their complaints until all the Eid preparations are done. Caught in the crossfire is their third sibling who has nothing to do with their fight🤷

4. Takaful Malaysia: Raya Paling Kecoh

Parents always take pride in their children’s achievements. But sometimes being too proud of your kids may backfire, as we’ll see in this advert by Takaful Malaysia.

The ad showcases a woman boasting about her son’s achievements in front of everyone in the village. As it turns out, her son is a shaman and has scammed a number of people by making false promises to them. The mother feels ashamed of her son and chases him along with the rest of the villagers to beat him up, only to be persuaded by the village imam to forgive him.

But just when we think everything has gotten back to normal, the imam is seen looking around for his son, who was pushed into a pond by the scammer shaman’s speeding car. It seems like the shaman has got to make another run for his life🤣

5. Astro Malaysia: Ada Apa Dengan Masa

Often what we see is only partially true. This advert by the Malaysian satellite television company Astro proves that with a hint of humor.

The ad revolves around Tok Zan and his three children who are busy with their careers and only visit their father once in a while on Eid. One day, the 3 siblings receive an alarming voice message from Tok Zan, who says that there is not enough time left, causing them to hurry back to the village and face various funny challenges.

Did the children get home in time to meet their father? Or is there a hidden story behind the voice command? Watch this hilarious ad to find out!
