Over the last few weeks, we have been extensively covering Southeast Asian Aidilfitri 2025 commercials. And while some of you might feel that we are probably too obsessed with them, as a marketer with over 8 years of experience in the advertising industry, I promise you that they are second to none and they deserve every bit of the attention that we have been showering upon them. From heartwarming and emotional to downright funny, Southeast Asian Eid ad campaigns explored all themes. Resilience and bouncing back after adversities are other themes that were quite prominently seen in these ads this year.

So, here we are with 5 wonderful Southeast Asian Aidilfitri 2025 commercials that will surely remind everyone to rise after they fall. Let’s take a look at these.
1. AKPK: Deria Raya
The love and support of our loved ones can help us conquer even the greatest adversities. AKPK, the Malaysian government agency for financial counseling, showcased this with a moving advert.
The 7-minute spot features a guy who loses his eyesight in an accident, subsuming his entire family in sorrow right before the Aidilfitri festivities. While his mother and sisters try hard to cheer him up, the impairment seems to have snuffed the life out of him.
However, on the day of Eid, he does something that finally brings a smile to the faces of his loved ones. What does he do to restore their happiness? Watch this inspiring advert to find out!
2. Multimedia University: Andai Ku Bisa Undur Raya
Multimedia University, the Malaysian private research university, launched an 8-minute spot that underscores the importance of moving on in life and embracing everything that it has to offer.
The ad shows a young boy returning home for the Hari Raya holidays. However, while one would expect a youngster to be brimming with Raya's excitement, the lad clearly looks unhappy and it seems like he just wants the festival to be over with. Moreover, he doesn’t even want to wear new clothes on Raya. We find out later in the ad that he lost his mother in an accident on Raya many years ago when he went out with her to get new clothes, which explains his aversion to Raya festivities as well as clothes.
Will the poor lad be able to overcome his grief and push away the guilt that he has burdened himself with over the years? Or will he continue to suffer? You’ll find answers to all these questions in the ad above.
3. Muslimin Trust Fund Association: Erti Keihsanan
Self-reliance is good but to what extent? After all, when we constantly refuse help from others, we are also taking away from them the chance to earn rewards for helping us.
Erti Keihsanan follows Azman, a 60-year-old grandfather and delivery driver, struggling to make ends meet while raising his 14-year-old grandson, Danish. Despite Danish’s repeated requests to seek help from charity organizations to have his old van repaired and enhance their overall financial situation, Zaman remains adamant.
But then through a series of events happening throughout Ramadhan, he learns about compassion and the true meaning of Ihsan — the importance of both giving and receiving with humility. Watch the advert to find out how that happened.
4. PKNS: Kenal
Sometimes an open heart coupled with the smallest of the gestures can help form life-long relationships. Selangor State Development Corporation launched a Hari Raya advert this year that underscored the importance of making new efforts to forge new friendships.
The ad follows Pak Kamal, who lives alone after his wife's passing. In the silence, he sees his neighbors, Suresh and Mei, joking around while cooking. However, something makes him uneasy. One night, something happens—something that changes everything. What happened? How did their relationship change?
Watch this ad to find out the full story full of emotion and sincerity.
5. FELCRA Berhad: Abang...
The sacrifices of the eldest child often go unnoticed. However, this 8-minute advert by the Malaysian land development company FELCRA Berhad depicts the sincerity of love of the eldest child that cannot be expressed in words.
This story traces the journey of a family in facing life's dilemmas in the atmosphere leading up to Hari Raya. Watch the ad to understand what it means to let go of your desires and aspirations to fuel those of someone dear to you.
