5 Wholesome 4th of July Commercials That Every Patriot Will Resonate With

Hey fellas, it was the 4th of July yesterday- the perfect time for brands to dish out some of the most memorable ad campaigns to their audience. The significance of this historic day can’t be overstated, which means that discretion is the key for marketers when it comes to unleashing their creative potential to make the most of this day. This is exactly what I said in our previous blog on some of the most iconic 4th of July adverts. And while you seemed to enjoy those, I am certain that the following 4th of July commercials will leave you equally inspired and high-spirited.

So, let’s dive straight in.

1. Cerakote: We The People

Ceramic coating manufacturer Cerakote used a smart 4t of July marketing tactic that was simple yet effective.

The company used Ronald Raegan’s famous farewell speech “We The People” and superimposed it on images and footage that showcased the strength and values of American society. The reason why this advert was effective is that the speech sounds like just any other farewell speech- boasting the accomplishments of the government- if you were to listen to it separately. But as soon as one uses certain sections from it while leveraging certain imagery, it gives you goosebumps.

Nicely done, Cerakote!

2. Black Rifle Coffee Company: Happy Birthday, America!

So, what are 4th of July celebrations like? Just some beer, barbeque, and plenty of fireworks, nothing too crazy! Well, think again!

This high-octane 1-minute spot by the coffee brand Black Rifle Coffee Company showcases how big a deal the 4th of July celebrations are. Smashed beer cans, acrobatic dance moves, colorful fireworks, and watermelons cut through an electric saw- that’s what it means when they say that the celebrations aren’t too crazy!

3. RC Cola: It Doesn’t Get More American Than This!

Capitalizing on nationalism can often turn out to be a two-edged sword. But I guess a 25-second advert relying on borderline nationalism to make the most of the 4th July revelry is fine. Just like this RC Cola advert from 1990.

The ad follows a simple premise- show people sipping their RC Colas while they go about doing their jobs. You’d ask where’s nationalism in all of this. Well, the ad clearly says that a drink can’t be more American than RC Cola. So, are you going to try it?

4. Budweiser: The Most American Minute

Budweiser has developed a knack for dishing out some of the most unique ad campaigns and this 45-second advert is proof of that.

This 2018 advert showcases how Budweiser gathered hundreds of people, 564 to be precise, to break the previous record of 394 people engaging in a barbeque together. What follows is a free flow of beer, some freaking dance moves, and of course sizzling barbeque!

Now, that’s what I call an out-and-out American thing!

5. Anheuser-Busch: Patriotic Ad

All right, I am not sure if this ad was released to commemorate American Independence Day but this is surely what an ideal 4th of July advert should be like.

This 1-minute advert showcases Americans standing up at an airport to show their respect for their armed forces as soon as American troops arrive. Men, women, kids, and the elderly- everyone is shown clapping for these everyday heroes. And that’s the stuff that’s needed to make countries great.

Good job, guys!

Wrapping Up

And that was a wrap of some of the best 4th of July commercials. As stated previously, important ad campaigns like these require a lot of discretion. Therefore, brands need to plan their marketing campaigns in such a way that they best reflect their core values and are aligned with what their audience wishes to see. Hopefully, the ads discussed above will serve as an inspiration when you’re about to launch your Independence Day ad campaign.

We’ll be back with more wonderful adverts for you. Till then, stay tuned!
