What does Google Ads do and what do you need to know to begin advertising on Google?
Eu Gene Ang, Lead Trainer at ClickAcademy Asia, explains and introduces the Google Ads platform, the types of campaigns and how you can get started.
Highlights:
Google Ads offers an easy to use, self-serving advertising platform allows you to reach local, regional or even global audiences on the search engine, websites and video.
You can create 5 different types of campaigns depending on your business type and objectives:
Search Network Campaign: Your ad can show near search results when someone searches with terms related to one of your keywords.
Display Network Campaign: You can use an image or banner ad to reach your audience's favourite websites, YouTube video, their Gmail account, or using mobile devices and apps.
Youtube Advertising Campaign: If you have a video ad, you can reach potential customers on YouTube by uploading the video to the platform, then use Google Ads to create a video advertising campaign.
Google Shopping Campaign: If you have an e-commerce store, this type of campaign can help you promote your products by giving users detailed information about what you're selling before they even click your ad.
App Campaign: These are an automated ad type in Google Ads that help advertisers generate more app installs and/or drive in-app conversions.
An account is easy to set up on the Google Ads website. However, if you are engaging an external digital agency to help manage and optimise your campaigns, it is best that you create and own your Google Ads account and the agency can request access via their Google Ads Manager account.
