2. Facebook Rolls Out a Youth-Focused Refresh

TikTok has announced a range of new ad automation options, as it looks to maximize advertiser interest heading into the holiday push.



First off, TikTok has announced a new, fully automated ad solution called “Smart+,” which will take care of the whole ad creation, placement, and bidding process for you. TikTok’s Smart+ campaigns will be available in four formats, providing expanded automation options for TikTok partners.


TikTok is also rolling out “GMV Max”, which automates TikTok Shop campaign creation, with the aim of increasing your TikTok Shop gross merchandise value. GMV Max aims to optimize traffic across organic content, paid ads, and affiliate posts to help merchants improve their total return on investment. TikTok is also got some new Privacy-Enhancing Technology (PETs) integrations, which will help advertisers utilize more consumer insights, without uploading their audience data to TikTok itself, while it’s also rolling out Conversion Lift Studies, which will help advertisers measure the overall impact of their TikTok campaigns, and the actual conversions driven by their TikTok ads.


4. Snapchat Brings Back Phantom House Series With Maybelline, State Farm



Snapchat is bringing back its Halloween-themed content series, Phantom House. Maybelline New York, State Farm and Hulu are among those advertising around the second installment.



Advertising from the brands involved will include custom creator content, augmented reality (AR) Lenses, Snap Video Ads and more. Additionally, Snap will create AR Lenses themed around each of the Phantom House episodes, which could help attract key audiences. Phantom House includes four episodes that feature Snap Story compilations in which a handful of creators navigate various eerie worlds. Creators involved in the latest iteration include Tue Nguyen, Jake Koehler, Rachel Levin and Caryn Marjorie.


5. Pinterest Expands Campaign Automation Elements



Pinterest has unveiled its new lineup of AI and automation lower-funnel ad products, the Pinterest Performance+ suite.



Every advertiser globally will now have the option to use Pinterest Performance+ campaigns for Consideration, Conversions or Catalog Sales objectives. 6. X Returns to Brazil After Complying With Government Requests



Brazil’s Supreme Court has revoked a ban on X (formerly Twitter) after the Elon Musk-owned company agreed to comply with its order. This comes over a month after X services were suspended in Brazil following the apex court’s order on August 30.



Justice Alexandre de Moraes, in his order, authorised the “immediate return” of X to the country after the site paid fines totalling 28 million reals ($5.1m) and agreed to appoint a local representative, as required by Brazilian law. This development follows a month-long feud between Musk and Moraes. X had initially refused to action the Brazilian Government’s requests, saying that they went beyond the scope of the law, are were not in line with the platform’s freedom of speech principles. But now, after a month of being unavailable in the nation, X has complied with all elements, and will adhere to the ruling of Brazilian officials.
